We have several high profile domains. Meanwhile, you are interested in making money, otherwise you would not have come to this site. Whether you are the end user or the broker, if you have come to this aite, the price is the same for all interested.
As a reference point, oceancity.com sold for (if my memory is correct) over 70k and at the time, that was a nice deal for the buyers. Since then, I think they made a great deal. It's a site name that transcends areas, since there are many ocean city parts in the US. That is one of the key functions that make a domain valuable. Yours may be the same. It can be for anything in its broad spectrum and quite frankly can go to the global arena as well. As far as the .cc, .net, etc that is available, they just keep creating additional extensions. Eventually they will have so many it will require it's own directory. The more they create the less valuable they become and the more valuable the .com becomes. The original thought process going back 10 years was that .com would always be #1 but .net would be a close second. Time has shown that not to be the case. Its .com and the rest are watching the game on TV. If you are thinking that 20k is a lot for this domain, then your just not in the ballpark, and either is 20k. If you're looking to create or advance a real business, then you know how important and expensive marketing is. Advertising is very expensive. Most advertising has to be heard 9 times before it "begins" to register with people. Certain names greatly reduce that. Companies spend millions on name recognition. A mom and pop business spends a lot of money on getting the consumer to think of them and much more to "remember" them. If you are in a position to discuss a realistic amount for a domain, we can talk, but this response generally will weed out most of the people that either do not get the value of a valuable domain name, or simply can't afford it. I am sure you can appreciate how many emails we get for these high profile domains. The best part is, I don't care if I sell it or not. Either way, I wish you the best of luck. Thanks |
